South India's pride
Kaapi - India's Iconic Coffee Beverage
Traditional South Indian filter coffee, or kaapi (kah-pee) as it is called locally, originated from India’s long-standing coffee drinking culture that began in the 17th century. Our Kaapi blend follows the traditional formula – a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans with a hint of chicory.

What's special about our coffee

1.2x Fair Trade Wages
We work with a local community partner - Black Baza Smallholder Collective - who pays farmers at least 1.2x the fair trade or market rate (whichever is higher). Market rates fluctuate but currently market rates are higher than the fair-trade rate.

Regenerative Farming
Our farmers practice regenerative farming, growing coffee under the shade of native trees, benefitting soil health. This was the way of our ancestors but large firms have cleared large swaths of land (deforestation) to maximize production.

Indian Coffee Tastes Like India
Many of our farmers grow native spices alongside their coffee such as cardamom, vanilla, nutmeg, and black pepper. Imagine sipping coffee with subtle notes reminiscent of masala chai—earthy, spiced, and uniquely vibrant.
We believe in the power of positive storytelling to shape perceptions, challenge stereotypes, and pave a pathway for inclusion and true belonging.
